Sports/Dance Academy options
Each week you choose one of the following options (each option maximum two weeks).
All levels – on site (£50/week).
This exciting course, led by fully trained dance professionals, includes tap, jazz, street dance, musical theatre and, if requested, ballet. Different genres are introduced each day, leading to a performance at the end of the week. For those taking more than one week and progressing fast, some solo work at a more advanced level may be offered.
All levels, boys only – on site (£90/week).
Top coaches will lead our football programme and both individual skills and team techniques will be covered, interspersed with match play on grass or astroturf pitches.
All levels – on site (£120/week).
All aspects of the game from the basic ground strokes to specialised shots are covered. Match play and tactics are included. Hard and astroturf courts.
Beginner to intermediate level – off site (£160/week).
Ideal for those who want a 'taster' – or introduction to – golf. You will be instructed by professionals on the covered driving range, pitching and putting areas and, depending on your level, will have further practice on the 3-, 9- and possibly 18-hole golf courses. All aspects of the game will be covered, including swing, stance and grip as well as an introduction to long and short play.
All levels – off site (£210/week).
These excellent stables offer all aspects of horse management. In addition, manege work is designed to help you gain confidence in handling your horse in a variety of situations e.g. hacking, jumping, dressage and cross-country.
All levels – on and off site (£125/week).
If you enjoy many different sports and challenges then our Ultimate Sports experience is the course for you!
Wet'n'wild activities include sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. Territorial activities include fencing, archery, climbing, raft-buildingand high ropes. In addition, on one morning each week we offer coaching in basketball, tag rugby, hockey or badminton. Each morning you will try different activities. All are designed to help you improve your confidence, personal fitness, stamina and performance level.
Morning option (15 hours per week) (£50/week).
Designed for those who would like to take one week sport/dance and one week intensive English – or for those who may not be too 'sporty' but wish to accompany a friend/brother/sister. The programme will concentrate on project work (e.g. film-making, photography, IT, surveys) and will complement the 15-hour afternoon English classes. Students choosing Project English will therefore have a total of 30 hours' English per week.
