Small student group

English + Multi-Activity

These courses combine 12 hours' intensive English language lessons with 8 hours' elective Language Activities each week (total 20 hours x 60 minutes). Students are tested and graded on arrival. Classes are structured to help you improve your grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and listening skills but the emphasis is on helping you become confident in English. You'll get lots of practice using English in all kinds of situations – and with your new English friends. The maximum class size is 14 and classes are offered at all levels.

A wide variety of indoor and outdoor sports and activities are offered on most days which gives you the chance to improve sports you are already familiar with as well as trying new ones.

Language Activities

These 'English in Action' sessions are led by classroom teachers, with help from the activity leaders, and are designed to encourage learning English by doing. Each week you can choose from a variety of different Language Activities. For example, in 2007 students filmed music and horror videos, created photo stories using PowerPoint, made and distributed course magazines, created catwalk fashion shows, put on lively drama productions and even learned how to make pizza and cakes!

Trinity Exam in Spoken English

The Trinity Exam in Spoken English is optional and offered at extra cost (£50) at all our English + Multi-Activity centres. This oral exam is offered at 12 levels; your class teacher will decide which level you will take. Exams are offered every two weeks, subject to sufficient demand. We strongly recommend you sit this exam as you will gain an internationally valid certificate. It will also give real focus to your English studies.
